Meet Jamie Reid

I've spent the past 30 years in the insurance business, expanding my brokerage across the country and assisting one of Canada's largest independent brokerage with their national expansion.  Merger Key has developed a proprietary approach to Investing for Growth, Mergers and Acquisitions rooted in what I've learned over this incredible journey.

It's been an exciting career in a very rewarding industry, but we're just getting started.  I am incredibly proud of what we've accomplished all these years and it is my privilege to help others build their journey.

- Expanded and operated businesses located in 5 provinces and serving clients across the country
- Launched and designed three businesses from the ground up
- Planned and launched 25 partner-broker, franchise and white-label operations
- Recruited and developed one of Canada’s top leadership teams
- Built and led functional departments in IT, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Service and Underwriting
- Designed and launched several branded regional and national insurance programs
- Developed insurance solutions for some of the country's largest and most well-known organizations
- First in Canada to launch a full digital insurance operation
- Negotiated and completed over 15 acquisitions in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick; including 5 sell-side and over 10 buy-side deals as CEO and owner of the Storm Insurance Group

- Developed and lead Storm into becoming a diversified national insurance brokerage with Retail, Group, Digital, and Wholesale divisions operating under the banners:  A.P. Reid Insurance, MyGroup Insurance Management, ZipSure Digital Insurance and Agile Underwriting Solutions

- Successfully merged and integrated the Storm Insurance Group and their 5 brands, 125 employees and 100,000 customers with the largest Canadian-owned independent brokerage, leading to the creation of a national insurance brokerage powerhouse
- Sourced, negotiated, and closed over 25 additional acquisitions in six provinces with this new partner; totaling over $300mil in enterprise value
